At Vencon Research we offer a range of additional bespoke studies for our clients to complement our core report offering .
Our client-specific surveys range from market positioning data through to individualised reports and summary sets. Clients often require these reports when they are conducting in-depth compensation research prior to making strategic decisions regarding their approach to talent management. In an industry where competitive advantage is dependent upon having the best consultants, partners and support staff, it is essential that your talent attraction and retention strategies are optimised and that you predicate key business decisions based upon the best possible data.
Here at Vencon Research, we use best-in-class reporting methodologies and ensure participant confidentiality in providing these additional value-enhancing products. Client discretion is assured at all times and we focus upon the most appropriate competitor groups to ensure that you obtain as much value as possible from our work.
Most of our clients actively require the raw data that we provide in our reports. However, some firms (particularly those who are just starting their benchmarking process, or who are seeking to re-assess their market competitiveness) sometimes request an external appraisal of their existing position. In such instances, we present client data against target competitor data-sets in a format that is both clear and convincing when viewed by decision makers. As with all of our reports, data is presented in formats that are suitable for the onward briefing of stakeholders. They are designed to provide an instant road map for strategic action.
Where clients require a significant number of global surveys, we often find that the central client prefers a single executive overview for ease of review. Consequently we have developed a simple ‘traffic light’ or ‘RAG’ format, within which the client can choose the preferred threshold level, expressed in the format that best suits their individual approach. Whether you want your colour-coded summary tables expressed as percentiles or absolute values, we will ensure that your report immediately highlights the career levels and geographies which most merit your attention.
Where there is sufficient overlap between firms participating in the “Salary” and “Benefits” surveys, we can consolidate the resulting data sets to provide a Total Compensation Package bespoke report. This aggregates the base salary and bonus figures into the major financial elements of firms’ benefits packages, capturing details of pension schemes, sign-on bonuses and car allowances, where appropriate.
This report looks at industry remuneration approaches by career and sub-career level, and measures the data alongside corresponding information for promotion timelines. Industry earnings are plotted against tenure, using the data sets gathered in the primary “Consultant Salary Survey”.
By going beyond merely the job title in assessing earnings potential against time spent with a firm, decision makers have powerful data to utilise in designing and implementing accelerated promotion schemes or merit-based career development frameworks.

In addition to all the usual compensation data analyses of overall means, percentiles and ranges, Vencon Research reports include a full raw data set, enabling clients to further analyse the data in the manner best suited to their requirements. The data tables, graphics and executive summary are comprehensive and regularly revised in response to client needs.
Our reports cover more than 70 countries worldwide and provide actionable data for both mature and emerging consulting markets. Vencon Research works with more than 300 leading firms, ranging from independent strategy boutiques to the largest global firms. Our reports represent nearly 400,000 consultants and support staff ranging from junior reception staff to senior partners.
Vencon Research is exclusively a remuneration data provider to the professional services industries; our research and production capabilities are designed for optimal delivery of these data. Clients can purchase a full report tailored to their line of business for less than a typical BA sign-on bonus. With a progressive discount structure, firms may purchase a dozen country reports for the cost equivalent of a single MBA sign-on bonus.
Within Vencon Research, data collection and validation is a continuous process. This enables us to produce salary and benefits reports at several points throughout the year containing the very latest information. ‘Snapshot’ data can be provided in new or rapidly developing markets where scheduled release dates are insufficient.
As their primary asset, management consulting firms are necessarily discreet about their professional staff. By observing the highest standards of data confidentiality, including commitment to any confidentiality agreement deemed appropriate by the client, Vencon Research has been able to establish its position of trust with the leading firms. Participant identity is divulged only to other participating firms and anonymity of individual data lines is paramount.
Our clients are the elite of the global management consulting industry and operate to the highest standards in the quality of their research, reports and presentations. By setting the same high standards for ourselves, we enable clients to use our reports, graphics and tables in their original form when disseminating or presenting the information.
The principal sources of data are the HR directors and partners of the participant firms. All data are cross-validated against previous data sets to ensure consistency and accurate comparison in the data as presented.
Vencon Research's report data are sourced from the HR Directors and responsible Partners of the participating firms. Our generic reports can also be tailored to meet specific client needs, for example mapping their own data line against only upper-quartile competitors.
